Ship’s Library (My Books)

DSC_0002Hungry Baby Bird was my first published book with a print run of one. I was seven or eight when I wrote it. I particularly like the safety pin binding. You don’t see that very often.

As you can see, I knew how to write page-turners even back then. DSC_0003

What do I write now?

I write middle-grade novels and picture books. My ideas come from both the past and the present often inspired by unusual events, quirky people, and peculiar places. It’s like upcycling—taking something old, odd, or discarded and creating something new. However, instead of turning old suitcases into an end table or a platter into a birdbath, I find something interesting and turn it into a story for today’s young audience.

Please come back soon for a status update on my current projects.
