Hello!
This isn’t me. This is the fabulous Annette Kellerman, the original million-dollar mermaid, on location for the silent movie Queen of the Sea. She was a swimmer, diver, dancer, stunt woman, stage star, author, and the first woman to earn a million dollars in film. What started out as curiosity over an unidentified woman in a 1917 photograph became an obsession and inspiration. Sometimes a simple question results in an incredible story. Welcome to my world.

What’s with The Dolls, Ellen?
I own more dolls today than I had in my entire childhood. Blame it on COVID, but what began with creating Peeps dioramas every spring brought me into the world of miniatures, dolls, and Instagram.
Between the Bookends
Between these bookends are books reminiscent of my childhood: Golden books, the beloved works of Robert McCluskey, Trixie Beldon mysteries, and Ruth Dixon’s Bartholomew the Beaver.
